ZINC CHLORIDE: is a severe irritant and corrosive. Eye and skin contact will cause severe burns. It is moderately toxic by inhalation and ingestion. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, central nervous system depression. Fatalities have occurred from severe damage to the respiratory system.

ZINC SULPHATE: is an eye and skin irritant. Inhalation may cause 'metal fume fever' producing symptoms such as chills, fever, tightness of chest and coughing. It is moderately toxic by ingestion causing vomiting, cold sweats, leg cramps, stomach ulceration and pulse depression.
