Vineyard
The
property is adjacent to other successful vineyard operations.
Those in close proximity include Stringy Brae Wines,
Skillogallee Wines, Jeanneret Wines, Kilikanoon and Mitchell Cellars.
All are situated on the western side of the Clare
Hills, which form the North Mount Lofty Ranges. The
elevation of the property ranges from approximately
440m to 530m above sea level which is above average
for the Clare district. The land is undulating, with
moderate rises through to gentle valley landscapes.
The aspects vary, but in the main fall away to the
north with resultant northerly and easterly aspects
dominant.

The
property's water supply comprises surface catchment
and sub-artesian bores. The Spring Gully region of
the Clare Valley has a reliable rainfall exceeding
625mm (25") each year. Dams with 15.5 Ml capacity
have been constructed. The dams are filled by water
drawn from the two winter flowing watercourses, which
dissect and adjoin the vineyard. Temperature ranges
are conducive to the production of premium wine grapes
as evidenced by the Clare Valley's reputation for
the production of high quality, premium wine.
