PELICAN POINT NUDE BEACH
We heard that camping at Pelican Point is no longer permitted so we sent this email to the local council

Hi,
I have recently heard that free camping is no longer permitted at the Pelican Point Clothes Optional Beach on Lake Bonney and that the Aboriginals have blocked access unless a fee of $15.00  per night is paid. It was said that this is due to the beach now being a sacred sight, is this true.

The council gave us the following information

There is no longer camping allowed on the beach area at Pelican Point, the area to the beach has been blocked off preventing access to vehicles entering the sandy ridges and beach area.

The reason why the beach has been closed to the public is it has been deemed a sacred sight. Public can still have access to the beach area but only on foot.
