The Dog & Cockle is a newly constructed beach house situated at Goolwa Beach, close to the historic river port of Goolwa where the Murray River meets the sea.   

The Beach House has a large balcony which offers superb coastal views overlooking Encounter Bay to Victor Harbor, Port Elliot and Middleton, excellent for whale watching.  The beach is just a 5 minute walk through the sandhills.

Once a bustling port, Goolwa retains many of its charming stone buildings constructed from the local limestone.  You can cross the Murray River to Hindmarsh Island, visit a local winery, surf, fish, take a cruise ... or just relax.
