The Arty Bed and Breakfast is a place where you can enjoy water views from almost every window, relax or venture out to partake in the many outdoor activities the the wonderful Hokianga region offers.
Bev and Darryl, your hosts, can organize day trips to the Bay of Islands, sand boarding on the mighty sand dunes, night walks in the wonderful Waipoua forest, dining out at the Copthorne resort or game fishing.
There are so many ways that you can relax and enjoy your holiday that you may have to stay longer!!
Bev is a well known artist and teacher and she can assist you to create your own wonderful memory of your visit to this part of Northland, New Zealand. Her studio is large and well appointed, with a café style coffee machine so you can relax on the upper deck with your book and your latte, flat white or espresso.
Like the great Polynesian explorer Kupe, Bev and Darryl have come to the Hokianga and are proud to share their wonderfully renovated 1930’s cottage with their guests. The Hokianga is approximately four hours drive north of Auckland and your gateway to this spectacular place is through the stunning Waipoua Forest where you can visit Tane Mahuta, the majestic Kauri tree that is over 2,000 years old.
