Have
you wondered about ways of using film in your Indonesian lessons?
Do you need some help with ideas for exploring Indonesian culture
and history?
Would you like some additional short reading passages for your students?
Could you use some more ideas and resources for Investigative and
In-Depth tasks?
Margot
Ludbrook and Deetje Tunstill have produced a collection of photocopiable
resources for use in the senior Indonesian language classroom in
Australia.
The materials are based on four commercial Indonesian films and
include teacher notes on the films, comprehension questions in English
and short reading passages in Indonesian on topics related to the
films, as well as links with Indonesian literature.
In addition there are oral and written text analysis tasks, research
tasks and Investigative and In-Depth tasks relating to the topics
and sub-topics of the National Collaborative Curriculum Statement
and Assessment Framework for Indonesia.
The films are:
- Kartini
- Secankir kopi pahit
(Bitter Coffee)
- Oeroeg (Going Home)
- The Year of Living
Dangerously.
Note:
the package does not include the videos but we can tell you where
to get them.
