THE PEITAC STORY

The Port Elliot Town & Foreshore Improvements Committee Inc. applied to Alexandrina Council for access to computers and the Internet in Port Elliot, but the council declined their request.

The Port Elliot Uniting Church had a few computers being used for Sunday School, but they were short of space.
The Church decided to erect a purpose-built mezzanine above their foyer, capable of housing 12 computers with some connected to the Internet. This plan included Community Access. The Centenary Centre was opened on 29 October 2000.
