indicate that the Gouldian Finch was once widespread in the years up to 1954 in
the top part of Northern Australia, by the 1980 it changed dramatically most of
the birds have been trapped and send all over the world only a handful could be
noticed in that aria now. In 1989 the Gouldian Finch was listed as endangered
and to this day is protected here in Australia and cannot be trapped or shipped
out of this Country.
