We are a group of oldies who play 9 holes of golf every Tuesday and Thursday at the Regency Park Golf Course. Membsership is free. We hit-off at 7:45am and some of us visit the Regency Park Tavern after the round. To join us you must be 50 years of age or older... golf ability is optional! (our average handicap is about 13 for 9 holes). We currently have about 20 members, 5 of whom are women. New members are welcome at any time.

We apply an unofficial handicap correction after each round. If you have an official 18 hole handicap when you join us we will use half of that as your starting handicap with us. Otherwise we will give you a handicap after you have played a few rounds with us. We use a modified handicapping system to ensure that we don't get the same players winning week after week.

Our first round each year is on the first Thursday in February and our last round is on the second Thursday in December (followed by our Christmas lunch). Tuesday is a practice round. We do not have a reserved hit-off time for the practice round (ball-in-the-race) but we usually hit off at about 7:45am.

Green fees are currently $7.00 for 9 holes.. (also see "the course") Golf clubs, buggies and motorised carts can be rented if required.

Although membership of the group is free, on Thursdays you can enter our daily competition for $2.00 if you wish. Money collected is distributed to the winner and runner-up on the day.
